The goal of the competition
The goal of the Greater Poland Design Cup Competition is to promote and reward ideas in the field of designing and producing packaging for the alcohol industry. The judging criteria will not only include interesting design but also the quality of execution, functionality, marketing value, and even compliance with Polish laws regarding labeling on packaging and labels.

In each category
The prizes in each of the 5 categories are as follows:
1st Place: Diploma, GP 2023 Award, Gold GP 2023 graphical emblem for promotional use.
2nd Place: Diploma, GP 2023 Award, Silver GP 2023 graphical emblem for promotional use.
3rd Place: Diploma, GP 2023 Award, Bronze GP 2023 graphical emblem for promotional use.
Main prize
Among the winning projects in each category, one project will be selected as “The Greatest Design.” The prizes for the winner of this title are as follows:
- GP 2023 Award and “The Greatest Design GP 2022” graphical emblem for promotional use.
- free of charge booth during the Poznań Beer Fair (in the edition following the GP 2022 results announcement).
- Promotional services package provided by Targi Piwne Sp. z o.o. worth 10,000 PLN.
Additionally, the 2nd and 3rd place winners will be awarded as follows:
- 2nd Place: Diploma, GP 2023 Award, 2nd Place GP 2023 graphical emblem for promotional use.
- 3rd Place: Diploma, GP 2023 Award, 3rd Place GP 2023 graphical emblem for promotional use.

In this category, labels on bottles of products from the beer, cider, and mead industry will be evaluated, which are (or have been within the last 12 months, or will be within 3 months from the conclusion of the competition) available for sale.
What products should be submitted in this category?
Glass packaging along with the label – present the label that is placed on the bottle or other glass packaging of the product.
Labels on bottles in the original printed version – present labels on bottles in their original printed form, as they are presented on the finished products available for sale
In this category, labels on cans of products from the beer and cider industry will be evaluated, which are (or have been within the last 12 months, or will be within 3 months from the conclusion of the competition) available for sale.
What products should be submitted in this category?
Cans along with the label or direct print – present the label that is affixed to the can or the can with a direct print of the design.
Labels on cans in the original printed version – present labels on cans in their original printed form, as they are presented on the finished products available for sale.
In this category, labels on bottles and cans of products from the beer, cider, and mead industry will be evaluated, forming a coherent series of at least 3 products, among which the latest product is (or has been within the last 24 months, or will be within 3 months from the conclusion of the competition) available for sale.
What products should be submitted in this category?
Bottles or cans along with the label or direct print – present the label that is affixed to the bottle or the can with a direct print of the design.
Labels on bottles or cans in the original printed version – present labels on bottles or cans in their original printed form, as they are presented on the finished products available for sale.
In this category, labels on bottles and cans along with the entire packaging of products from the beer, cider, and mead industry will be evaluated, distinguished from other packaging available on the market by the use of non-standard design solutions. The submitted products must be (or have been within the last 36 months, or will be within 3 months from the conclusion of the competition) available for sale.
What products should be submitted in this category?
Bottles or cans along with the label and other elements that contribute to raising the standard (e.g., additional packaging) – present the bottles or cans with their labels, as well as any other elements that enhance the overall packaging.
Labels on bottles or cans in the original printed version, if they use non-standard techniques that enhance the standard (e.g., fluorescent printing, hologram, embossing) – present the original printed labels on bottles or cans that utilize unique techniques to enhance the overall design standard.
In this category, all promotional gadgets from the beer, cider, and mead industry will be evaluated, which are (or have been within the last 36 months, or will be within 3 months from the conclusion of the competition) available for consumers to obtain through purchase or promotional activities, and visually identified with a particular company.
What products should be submitted in this category?
Containers, e.g., glasses, goblets.
Accessories, e.g., bottle openers, bottle bags.
Clothing items, e.g., t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, cotton bags.
Printed materials, e.g., calendars.
Other promotional gadgets used to promote the brand.
The Judges
The judging panel will consist of professionals associated with the packaging production and graphic design industry. The complete composition of the judging panel will be presented soon.
