The goal of the competition

The goal of the Greater Poland Mead Cup competition is to select and promote the best meads produced by professionals in Poland and abroad. The criteria for evaluation will include taste, aroma, appearance, adherence to style, and overall impression the mead leaves.

In each category

In each of 4 categories:

 

  • For the 1st place: GPCCH 2023 diploma, gifts from PTP
  • For the 2nd place: GPCCH 2023 diploma, gifts from PTP
  • For the 3rd place: GPCCH 2023 diploma, gifts from PTP

Main Prize

Among the winning meads in each category, the jury will select the mead that will be awarded the title “The Greatest Home Mead”. The additional prizes for the recipient of this title include:

  1. Production of the winning mead according to the winning recipe at Miodosytnia Imbiorowicz.
  2. Graphic design of the label for the winning mead, including information about the Home Meadmaker (name and/or name of the home brewery).
  3. 36 bottles of the mead produced as part of the prize or their equivalent.
  4. 2 nights for 2 people at Miodosytnia Imbiorowicz in an apartment by the lake.

There are many paths to perfection, both traditional and modern.

The Judges

The judging panel will consist of professionals and outstanding sensory experts, whose qualifications include certifications, experience from other competitions, and achievements in the field of sensory evaluation. The full list of judges will be presented soon.
