PROFESSIONAL BREWERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD


APPLICATION DATE:

JANUARY 15 – APRIL 9, 2021


COST OF SUBMITTING A BEER:

EARLY BIRDS 1 (January 15 – 24):
PLN 150 NET (EUR 38) (+23% VAT)

EARLY BIRDS 2 (January 25 – February 28):
PLN 180 zł* NET (EUR 45) (+23% VAT)

after March 1:
PLN 220 zł* NET (EUR 55) (+23% VAT)

 * – there is a 10% discount for Polish Craft Brewers Association members

PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION

The aim of the Greater Poland Beer Cup Competition is to select and promote the best beers brewed by professionals in Poland and abroad. The evaluation criteria will be taste, aroma, appearance, style compliance and the overall impression of the beer.

CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS

* – provide additional information about additives when submitting the application;
** – provide additional information on the hops used when submitting the application;
*** – provide additional information on the type of barrel used when submitting the application;
**** – provide additional information on the type of smoked malt when submitting the application
***** – additional information on base style, pre-freeze initial extract and post-freeze alcohol content should be provided when submitting the application

JURY

Head of the Jury – Maciej Wentowski

An experienced brewer, certified beer and mead judge. A graduate of Brewing Technology at the University of Agriculture in Krakow. He is a multiple medal winner in professional beer and mead competitions. Years ago, he began his adventure with beer brewing in a craft brewery in Poznań, and for two years he has been the Production Manager and Main Brewer at Browar Sady. He shares his knowledge in the industry quarterly Piwowar, and also publishes his articles on the Poznań Beer Expo blog. Co-organizes tastings and training for people passionate about beer. Privately, he is passionate about Hungarian culture, a lover of peat whiskey and a father of two children for whom he learns juggling.
